Weihnachtsmarkt for Romance: One Charmed Christmas by Sheila Roberts
"German pastries are the best, trust me. Just think Amsterdam, Heidelberg, men in lederhosen."
A European river cruise at Christmastime makes for a perfect backdrop in this charming romance.
Widow Catherine Pine reluctantly joins her friend on a cruise, and meets a newly divorced and previously widowed doctor. He is traveling with his protective daughter who is making certain her father doesn't get involved with another gold digger.
Chocolatier Trevor March joins his brother on the cruise, leaving behind his chocolate factory in the Pacific Northwest to sample some of the tasty competition in Europe. He finds himself smitten with Sophie, a professional shopper who is also a somewhat charming hypochondriac. Sophie is traveling with her sister whose dud-of-a-husband begged out of the cruise at the last moment.
This romance has all the typical sweetness to be expected of a romance, but the European travel adds an additional aspect of warm and cozy as you sample the Bavarian Christmas markets (Weihnachtsmarkt) and other cultural delights.
Lovers of the cozy romance genre will probably delight in this yuletide read.
